Take your tastebuds on a trip to Napa Valley as we connect virtually, enjoy our estate grown wines, and learn something new all from the comfort of your own home. During this tasting, we will be exploring three of our signature wines: 2018 Chardonnay, 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2018 Dragon’s Tooth. Available 7 days a week at 4 pm. Please make your reservations at least a week prior to your desired date.

Take Off with Trefethen

Take Off with Trefethen is our new award-winning experience for novice wine consumers, available Monday through Thursday at 10am. A wine educator will first lead you to our “petting zoo” demonstration vineyard, which showcases multiple grape varieties, and share a taste of Dry Riesling, while providing a brief introduction to viticulture and our longtime commitment to sustainability. You will then return to our historic winery for an educational and fun seated tasting of three wines. It’s a perfect opportunity for budding wine lovers to ask questions about everything from swirling and spitting etiquette to how to hold a wine glass and how long an open wine lasts.

Vineyard Tour and Tasting

Learn about the journey from vine to wine with our immersive Vineyard Tour & Tasting. Your visit begins with a guided walk among the vines, covering our rich winegrowing history and our award winning sustainability programs. After that, you will head to the cellar for a behind the scenes view into our winemaking operations and the experience concludes with a curated tasting of wines sourced from the very vineyard you walked through.

Legacy Tasting

This fully immersive and private experience features our Legacy Collection wines. Hosted by certified sommeliers, guests will be greeted at the Historic Winery and taken on a brief tour of the winery before being guided through expansive gardens to the Villa, which previously served as the Trefethen family home. A sample menu features Katie’s Acre Chardonnay enjoyed with Classic Caviar Service for Two, and The Cowgirl and Pilot Merlot paired with California Lamb Loin with Roasted Baby Carrots, Cumin Spiked Yogurt, and Carrot Top Chimichurri. A rare vertical offering of HāLo Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by Dry Aged Beef Rib Eye with Puffed Bread and White Cheddar Mousse. This experience lasts two hours and is offered weekly on Fridays at 1 pm.

Katie’s Acre Experience

A sensory exploration of two of our Legacy Collection wines. Experience the newly released Katie’s Acre Chardonnay and The Cowgirl and The Pilot Merlot, crafted and named in honor of two generations of Trefethens. This estate vineyard experience begins with a tour of the Historic Winery followed by a vineyard walk to Katie’s Acre for an immersive tasting in the vineyard under the shade of the grand Paradox walnut tree. Enjoy paired bites like caviar with Katie’s Acre Chardonnay and Wagyu beef with The Cowgirl and The Pilot Merlot as you soak in the sights and sounds of the estate in this beautiful setting.
