TREFETHEN FAMILY VINEYARDS

OAK KNOLL DISTRICT of NAPA VALLEY

FAMILY OWNED • SUSTAINABLY FARMED

One Family. One Estate. One Passion.

  • For three generations, our family has devoted itself to wine made solely from the fruit of our estate vineyards in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. A characteristic brightness animates every bottle, reflecting both our cool climate and the joy with which we approach our work.

    The Trefethen Family

  • “To honor our legacy, we must push forward. Every vintage is an opportunity to learn something new about our land, to build on every vintage that has come before in order to better reflect this place in our wines.”

    -Hailey Trefethen & Lorenzo Trefethen

  • “The most important lesson [that we’ve learned] is that great wines are made in the vineyards, and the owners’ tracks need to be in those vineyards on a daily basis. And if they are, then that winery … will make superb wines.”

    -Janet & John Trefethen

  • “It’s important for people to understand the joy of giving and the joy of achievement … We have the responsibility of participating in those things in the community that we believe in.”

    -Gene & Katie Trefethen

A Holistic Approach

“As a true estate winery, we have the unique opportunity to bring integrity to every step of the process, from the soil to the table. We grow our own grapes in our own vineyards and make our wines right here. Our estate is a thriving vineyard and winery ecosystem and one of the most important elements is our incredible team of employees, with their decades of experience. They bring their vision, hard work and integrity to our holistic approach to winegrowing. My entire focus these days is on cultivating this extended family – and when we succeed, you can not only taste it in the wine, you can feel it.”
