Winter is pruning season in the vineyard. This highly technical task is a critical part of the world-class viticulture needed to produce world-class wines. The Napa Valley Grapegrowers and the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation recently hosted the 20th annual Napa County Pruning Contest, a competition designed to highlight the important work and incredible talent of our local vineyard teams. I am delighted to share that our own Ana Mejia earned 3rd place in the women’s division! Her speed and attention to detail are truly inspiring and we are very proud of her!
