Vineyard crew picking Chardonnay
Coming off a harvest unlike any other, our team is optimistic that the 2021 vintage will be one to remember. Following a dry winter with little rainfall, harvest began early in mid-August. It’s now mid-September, and the vineyard team has been bustling in the heart of harvest. The white varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Chardonnay, have already been picked, along with Pinot Noir, with our Bordeaux varieties soon to follow. Trefethen’s winemaker Bryan Kays is excited about what he’s been tasting in the young wines – concentrated flavors, balanced chemistry, and the signature Trefethen brightness.
Take a walk through the vineyards and onto our crush pad with Hailey Trefethen to see the magic for yourself.
