Pinot Noir is a delicate grape, famously reflective of the place and people that grow it. Made with a gentle touch, this carefully crafted small-lot wine reveals the distinctive character of our estate vineyards.

The Vintage

Record-breaking winter rains filled our reservoirs and recharged the soil. Spring and early summer were warm, leading to very strong growth in the vines. The rest of the summer was more typical with warm days and cool nights, providing perfect conditions for the developing grapes. Our yields for the season were slightly lower than average and the resulting wines are classic—with complex flavors and our signature brightness on the palate.

The Wine

This elegant Pinot Noir is sumptuous with gorgeous fresh ripe strawberry, cherry, and cranberry flavors layered with delicate notes of cedar, earth, and spice. Delightfully balanced with bright acidity and integrated tannins, it is seamless on the palate with a beautiful, long finish.

Food Affinities

Winery Chef Chris Kennedy considers this wine to be fruit-forward enough to stand up to roasted meats, but refined enough to pair beautifully with grilled California pink trout. He suggests adding sautéed red peppers and mushrooms, finished with a sprig of thyme to “watch this wine sing”.
