One of Napa’s classic wine estates, Trefethen is still a hidden gem. Easy to find, but only if you’re looking, our entry is on Oak Knoll Avenue, tucked away from the crowds of Highway 29. The driveway John Trefethen used to land his plane on runs through the middle of our vineyard, over the ground we have tended for over 40 years. Designated a National Historic Landmark, our 19th-century redwood winery is still a working cellar, and along with our gracious staff it provides a warm, comfortable environment in which to sample our distinctive, award-winning wines. We look forward to welcoming you.

Special Tastings
Twilight at Trefethen
$100/person by Reservation Only, Limited Availablity
A unique way to begin your Napa Valley evening, our exclusive “twilight tour” begins after the winery closes to the public, allowing you to experience the winery in a way few others do — all to yourself!
The evening will begin with a reception including artisan cheese and charcuterie. Then, as we explore and celebrate the craftsmanship of our historic 19th-century winery, you will have the opportunity to taste an aging Cabernet, straight from the barrel. For the main event, we will sit together and enjoy a tasting of some extremely special wines – including small lot trials and gems from past vintages that have been nurtured to perfection in our cellar. Savoring these wines, after hours, in our charming barrel room is certainly an experience not to be missed.
