2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

The growing season in 2008 began with more spring frost events than we have experienced in decades. You could find the crew two out of every three nights during the month of April in the vineyard “frost-protecting”. Rainfall wasn’t as generous as in past years either. However the summer growing season was splendid, followed by a beautiful fall that provided the perfect finish for the vintage.

A dynamic wine—handsomely crafted with dark ripe fruit, cacao, and tobacco—our 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied and
remarkably balanced with flavors of black cherry, chocolate, blackberry pie, clove, and pepper spice. Showcasing a wonderful
cedar finish intertwined with a burst of acidity that primes your mouth for the next sip…

Even in the finish, where its youth gives it a bit of an acidy pucker to its cherry and currant flavors, this wine displays both polish and likeability.
