Tasting Flight - The Historic Winery
Originally constructed in 1886, this historic landmark is the center of Trefethen's visitor center. Designed by Hamden McIntyre -the leading California winery architect at that time - the building is a rare example of a wooden three-story “gravity flow” winery. The first floor has now been re-dedicated to the aging of wines in barrel. The second floor features a new tasting room, with a stunning view of the estate vineyards. Under the original soaring redwood ceilings, visitors can savor this piece of Napa Valley’s history as they sample our estate-grown wines, with three different flights to choose from.
Reservations are suggested (especially on weekends) for our Tasting Flights
Reserve Tasting - The Villa
$50/per person (Seatings at 10:30 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm)
This former Trefethen family residence, built in the early 1900s, is a fine example of the Arts and Crafts Movement in California. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens, the Villa is now home to Trefethen’s Reserve tasting experience. After checking in at the Historic Winery, guests are escorted to the Villa. Seated around a large table, they are led through a flight of some of our most special estate-grown wines. This semi-private tasting is held three times each day with a maximum group size of ten guests
