The Vintage

There are many layers to the excitement and joy that we feel about the 2014 vintage. To begin with, we feel lucky to have been able to harvest our grapes in a year that was marked by severe drought and a significant earthquake here in Napa just as harvest began. As though Mother Nature has a sense of irony, the part that usually keeps us humble, the weather throughout the growing season, was absolutely perfect. So, we didn’t just bring in the grapes. We brought in grapes from each block as they reached perfect ripeness and we have produced wines of truly exceptional quality.

The Wine

Our 41st vintage of Dry Riesling is sure to be a favorite. The wine captivates with aromas of orange blossom and lime zest. Smiles will be invoked with the lush and tropical palate with highlights of golden delicious apple and dried apricots. Fresh and flavorful, the wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve its singular varietal character.

Food Affinities

A perfect complement with crab, shellfish, delicate fish, poultry and Asian-inspired dishes, this remarkably versatile wine is superb with all types of meals and for sipping while cooking.
