2016 Double T Chardonnay
This little sister of our classic Trefethen Chardonnay has a lot of Trefethen family charm. Crafted to share select estate lots in a truly fun, everyday wine at a great price, Double T is named for the quadrilateral cordon trellis, commonly known as “Double T.” It is also a nod to the generations of T’s who have built our vineyard and winery.

Much of our winter rain came late, with almost 12 inches in March alone. With a very warm spring, the vines were running about three weeks early heading into the summer months. July and August were cooler than average, with foggy mornings, mild sunny afternoons and no severe heat spells. Vineyard temperatures rose again in September and harvest dates were early by about two weeks. The heat in the spring and again in the fall provided welcome bookends to the mild summer. The grapes benefited from increased hang time and showed fantastic character development. The Wine
Peach, green apple, lemon, and graham cracker crust headline the aromas on this medium-bodied Chardonnay. A creamy entry extends on the palate with delightful flavors of tropical fruit, melon and hints of baking spice. The grand finale is a long and lavish finish.Food Affinities
The lush side of this wine pairs exceptionally well with seafood and light pasta dishes. To embrace the casual side, bring it to a backyard BBQ or pizza night with your friends.
